Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add 300g of Filiz Penne Pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of the pasta water before draining the pasta.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, finely chop one medium onion and mince 2 cloves of garlic.
  3. In a large skillet or deep pan, heat 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for another minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Stir in 2 tablespoons of Tat Tomato Paste. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, allowing the paste to deepen in color and flavor.
  6. Pour in 1/2 cup of Icim Chef Cooking Cream Half Fat and stir well to combine with the tomato mixture. Let it simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Season the sauce with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon of Dried Mint. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  8. Add the drained Filiz Penne Pasta directly into the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently to coat all the pasta evenly. If the sauce seems too thick, add a splash or two of the reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.
  9. Serve immediately, perhaps with a sprinkle of fresh parsley if you have some, or a little extra Dried Mint. Afiyet olsun (Enjoy your meal)!
  10. For an extra touch of richness, you can stir in a tablespoon of Lurpak Butter at the very end, just before serving.
